Our baby food stages are carefully
researched to be age appropriate. However
every baby is different so we recommend
that you:
- Check with your
pediatrician before starting
your baby on solids
- Never introduce
more than one food at a time
- Check with
your pediatrician before introducing
a new food
- Give your
baby each food for 4 days before
moving on to the next
And remember: breast
milk and formula provide your baby's
nutritional needs during her first
year. Offering solid food is 'teaching'
baby to eat, while providing complementary
nutrients such as vitamins, minerals
and proteins.
Think
of weaning as a partnership: you
decide what she eats (variety
of wholesome colorful foods),
your baby will tell you how much
she wants.
Do not:
• re-freeze
thawed food
• re-use warmed food
• let food sit at room
temperature for more than
1 hour.
